We spent 2 weeks at Caronte in July in a 6 berth apartment. Very clean. Full kitchen well equipped. Good size living area. Large balcony. Ceiling fans kept us cool but no air con. Pictures on the weall need replacing!!! Beautiful well kept grounds. Pool and toddler pool with life guard. Very quiet with no entertainment, bars, clubs etc which suits us. There are a lot of steps as it is on a slope. Can take Crown Resorts free minibus outside resort to other more lively resorts in same Crown family. The pool, bar and children's area at Delta Mar/reception are family friendly and have plenty of sunbeds and shades. It is within walking distance. We prefer a car because it is a long walk to the beach and shops with children and we like to explore places like La Cala and other small villages along the coast.

Very nice holiday at Club Caronte. The apartment was well furnished, the kitchen well equipped and the overall conditions and aspect very good. Although it does not have air conditioning, if you open the windows and turn the ceiling fans on, you are granted a comfortable environment as air flows.

Just had a great holiday, staying in Club Caronte, Mijas Costa. Perfect for family fun and relaxation. Good facilities with use of neighbouring facilities at other Crown resorts located nearby. Club Caronte is the quieter apartment block with well equipped spacious apartments, and the pool open till late. Down the hill at Club Delta Mar was a livelier pool with mini golf and mini soccer pitch, bar and snack food with evening entertainment. Great value for money and great for families. If you're after nightlife, Mijas Costa is not for you as there are only a few bars and restaurants - go to nearby Fuengirola or Benalmadena. If you're wanting fun in the sun with the family, Stayed August 2013, traveled with family.

We just returned from a week in Costa del Sol, Spain and we had a fantastic time. The hotel was basic but provided enough space and area for all 5 of us to enjoy. We had a nice view from the balcony and the kitchen was cute and adequate. It was clean and the mid-week service was great, new towels and she made the beds and swept the floor! We loved the pool at another club so we spent most the pool time there, Club Del Mar. Only downer was no internet service from our hotel and bad parking situation, you get there early or you don't park close. Great location if you wish to visit Morocco, Gibraltar, Ronda, Marbella, etc. Awesome spot to be in.

Away from the hubbub, Club Caronte is a lovely place to stay. Admittedly, it is better to have a car if you stay here but it is more tranquil than Club Marbella and we preferred it. We like to be independent and the Marbella is more like a hotel than apartments. Club Caronte is not suitable for the unfit on foot, being uphill from the beach and restaurants, but the views towards the coast are super. Our apartment slept 6 with a full bathroom and a separate shower room with toilet. The kitchen is well equipped and the whole apartment spacious, clean and practical. Comes recommended if you are not looking for noise & nightlife in the immediate vicinity!
